Marlet graduated from North Carolina State University in 1998 with a B.A.
in Communication, Public Relations. She continued her education at Campbell
University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law and received her J.D. in
2002. Working with fellow classmates in downtown Raleigh, she practiced
residential real estate, estate planning and guardianships for Brannon
Strickland, PLLC. In 2010, she opened her own firm, The Edwards Law Office,
PLLC.
In the fall of 2022, she joined TDL with a focus on helping those in need
of wills and trusts, long-term care planning and special needs planning.
Many clients in transition find it helpful to conclude their family law
matters with a revised and updated estate plan. Marlet is a member of the
National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and ElderCounsel.
When not working, Marlet enjoys spending time with her teenage children,
traveling, reading, walking her golden retriever and playing tennis.
