Triangle Divorce Lawyers Founder Mary Gurganus Honored by North Carolina Supreme Court for Pro Bono Service

RALEIGH, NC | October 2026 — Triangle Divorce Lawyers is proud to announce that Founder and CEO Mary Gurganus has been inducted into the 2025 North Carolina Attorney Pro Bono Honor Society and recognized by the Supreme Court of North Carolina for contributing more than 50 hours of qualifying pro bono legal services.

In 2025, Gurganus’s service extended beyond individual legal cases to include community outreach and education. Much of her work focused on helping therapists, counselors, ministers, and other professionals navigate legal proceedings, respond to requests for records, understand confidentiality and privilege protections, and address their legal rights and responsibilities.

“Therapists and ministers spend their careers helping others, and when they’re brought into a legal proceeding, they deserve guidance and support, too. My goal is to help protect confidential and privileged information where the law allows and ensure these professionals understand their rights and responsibilities.”

This recognition reflects Gurganus’s commitment to making legal knowledge and assistance more accessible to the professionals who serve North Carolina families and communities.
