Briana Gaines

Paralegal II

Briana Gaines brings a thoughtful, client-centered approach to her work in family law. A Florida native from Daytona Beach, Briana earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of South Florida, graduating magna cum laude in 2018. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama in 2021.

Before law school, Briana worked with children in a variety of settings, giving her early insight into family dynamics, the challenges families can face, and the meaningful impact those challenges can have on children. That experience helped shape her interest in family law and her desire to support families during difficult and emotional transitions.

During law school, Briana participated in family law and children’s rights seminars, further strengthening her commitment to advocating for families and keeping children’s best interests at the forefront. She also became a certified mediator in Alabama through her law school’s Mediation Clinic, where she developed valuable dispute resolution skills that support her work in family law matters.

Her legal experience also includes serving as an Honor Court Justice during her second year of law school, Chief Honor Court Justice during her third year, and Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Johnny Hardwick. She also served as secretary on the executive board of a law school association focused on community outreach and education.

Inspired by her parents’ lifelong commitment to education, service, and mentorship, Briana is dedicated to making a positive and meaningful difference in the lives of others. She strives to help clients feel heard, supported, and advocated for as they navigate some of life’s most personal legal matters.

Outside of work, Briana enjoys spending time with friends and family, relaxing with a good TV show, visiting theme parks, and running her creative small business.
