I’m originally from VA but have lived in NC for 28 years and in Johnston County for 25 years so I consider myself a North Carolinian. I graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and taught kindergarten, first, and second grade for about 15 years, but I became an NC State Certified Paralegal in 2006.
My decision to become a paralegal was directly related to my personal experiences with ongoing custody litigation with my ex. I strive to utilize my experiences when working with my clients to make their experience a smooth transition. I have three grown children who all have great relationships with both me and their father. My ex and I are also now on
very good terms, so things do sometimes work themselves out.
I live on a small farm and have horses, chickens, cats, and dogs. In the past I have worked extensively in animal rescue, working to rehabilitate pit bulls, fostering cats and kittens, and in horse rescue as well.
In my spare time, in addition to riding and training my horses, I love spending time with my three children, Britt, Brad, and Izzy, and my sweet granddaughter, Meadow.
