Scott E. Allen
Senior Attorney
Scott E. Allen is a dedicated family law attorney who has lived in North Carolina his entire life. He began his academic journey at North Carolina State University with aspirations of becoming a scientist, but his interests soon shifted to politics and philosophy. Graduating with the highest honors in 1990, Scott earned a double major in political science and philosophy. For a time, he considered pursuing graduate studies in philosophy and a career in university teaching.
During his time at N.C. State, Scott took a part-time job at a law office specializing in family law. This experience inspired him to attend law school and ultimately return to Raleigh to practice family law. In 1994, he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law with his Juris Doctor degree and returned to Raleigh to begin his career as a divorce lawyer.
Since 1994, Scott has dedicated his practice primarily to family law, handling cases in numerous counties across North Carolina. He has successfully argued before the Court of Appeals and has appeared in Federal Court. Known as an experienced and trusted litigator and negotiator, Scott is also a trained mediator who has been involved in many private mediations and arbitrations.
Outside of his legal career, Scott enjoys cycling, photography, and spending time with his family. His commitment to both his profession and personal interests reflects his well-rounded and passionate approach to life and work.
